As the Leader on Duty, you will be responsible for the stores overall well being during selected shifts. Below is an overview of your position and responsibilities. Please keep in mind that there will be other tasks and expectations set by Senior
Leadership.
Ownership/Leadership
Leads and creates a positive team environment while fulfilling all guest requests
Provides all team members with consistent Servant Leadership that creates and cultivates happiness for
each and every team member

Financial Accountability
Leads and is responsible for all sales driving initiatives within the store and achieves sales targets set forth
by Senior Leadership
Responsible for all labor results within departments with direction given by Senior Leadership
Works with the buyers to ensure that there is a balance between driving sales and achieving margin through reducing shrink
Human Resources
Leads much of the employee life cycle for store teams, including but not limited to:
Hiring, staffing, interviewing, training, and scheduling
Annual Reviews
Annual Check-ins
Disciplinary action including separation
New Hire Orientations
Interviews and participates in the hiring decisions for incoming Department Leaders
Marketing/Merchandising/Signage
Stays current with all signage to drive sales and ensure guest satisfaction
Ensures that all favorite, price comparison, and other initiative signs are represented
Implements marketing and merchandising efforts every day
Ensures that we are always below our 1% OOS goal and that we are always in stock on our top movers
Effectively changes out displays on a seasonal basis and ensures the stores are consistently well merchandised and looking great
Cleanliness/Quality Assurance
Ensures the cleanest and safest store for the team
Reports and corrects any defects in a timely manner
Upholds food safety standards and cleanliness standards to company standards
ServSafe Certified and TIPS Certified (when working in Olney location)
Communication with all Buyers
Regularly communicates with Buyers to pass along information regarding guest requests, display needs,
and Department Leader
